Farraline home has a rich history as a private residence through the 19th and into the early 20th centuries. Lieutenant Governor J.J. Fraser’s family donated the property in the early 1900’s for the benefit of Seniors housing. The home officially began operations in 1921 under the stewardship of the Anglican Diocese of Fredericton where senior men and women have lived ever since. Late in the 1980’s the home became established as a not for profit organization under the care of an independent board of directors registered with the Province New Brunswick under the trade name of J.J. Fraser Farraline Home Inc.
Day to day operations and periodic capital improvements are funded through on-going rental income, occasional fund raising events undertaken by a very active board of directors and the generosity of private donors to whom we are most grateful.
